Finland’s Prime Minister Was Asked If There’s A Way Out Of The War In Ukraine And Her Answer Was Iconic

A video of Finnish prime minister, Sanna Marin, responding to a question about how to end the war in Ukraine has gone viral for her iconic answer.

The clip was first posted by Brussel correspondent for Finnish broadcaster company YLE, Rikhard Husu on Friday Oct. 7 and has amassed more than 10 million views on Twitter.

In the video, a reporter is heard asking Marin if there is a way out of the war.

“The way out of the conflict is for Russia to leave Ukraine. That’s the way out of the conflict. Thank you,” Marin said, before walking off with a small laugh.

People online praised Marin for her direct and clear response.

Many people did not fail to notice her laugh at the end and absolutely loved it.

Marin’s response comes as the war continues to escalate.

On Monday, Russia launched multiple missile strikes on civilian areas in Ukraine after an explosion severely damaged the only bridge connecting Russia to Crimea, a key supply route for the Russian army fighting a Ukrainian counteroffensive in the south.

In recent days, Ukraine has made “stunning” gains on its eastern and southern fronts, liberating regions that Russian illegally annexed just a few weeks ago, according to the Economist.

The gains have left the Russian army in disarray, leading Putin to threaten nuclear retaliation.

On Thursday, US President Joe Biden warned that the risk of nuclear war is at its highest point since the 1962 Cuban missile crisis.
