Netanyahu Gave A Pop Quiz At The UN To Attack Countries For Recognizing Palestine As A State
Netanyahu asked several multiple choice questions, including “Who shouts ‘Death to America’?” and ”Who has murdered Americans and Europeans in cold blood?”.
During his speech at the UN General Assembly, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu used a pop quiz to attack countries for recognizing Palestine as a state.
On Friday, Sept. 26, Netanyahu went on a 45-minute rant to a mostly empty auditorium due to more than 100 delegates walking out and boycotting his speech.
Netanyahu boasted about what he claimed were Israel’s accomplishments in the past year, which included bombing Yemen, its genocide in Gaza, its pager attack in Lebanon that killed 42 people and injured more than 3,500 others, as well as its unprovoked attack on Iran, which resulted in a 12-day war that he claimed “will go down in the annals of military history.”
“But we are not done yet,” he said, saying that Israel had to finish the job by wiping out Hamas because it was vowing to repeat the Oct. 7 attack “again and again and again.”
He then held up a placard and said he was going to do what he said was a first at the UN, a pop quiz.
The placard displayed a multiple-choice question that read, “Who shouts ‘Death to America’?” with the answers reading: Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis and all of the above.
After saying the answer was all of the above, he then asked and showed another placard that read, ”Who has murdered Americans and Europeans in cold blood?” with the options: Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran and all of the above.
He said that as the answer is all of the above, he wanted to make a point, that, “Our enemies hate all of us” but that many countries had started condemning and sanctioning Israel because “we fought back”.
He said that Israel had been forced to fight a seven-front war by itself with many countries opposing them as they had fallen prey to what he said was “biased media, radical Islamist constituencies and antisemitic mobs.”
He went on to attack Western countries for recognizing Palestine as a state, saying that it was "like giving Al-Qaeda a state one mile from New York City after Sept. 11,” he said.
He added that Israel would not “commit national suicide” and allow the world to “shove a terrorist state down [its] throat.”
