This Palestinian Girl In Gaza Told A Journalist What She Wants The World To Know And It Is Heartbreaking

A Palestinian girl’s heartbreaking message to the world about the war between Israel and Hamas has gone viral on social media.

The video was first shared by Mohammad Salama, a journalist in Gaza, on his Instagram and reshared by other prominent accounts such as @eye.on.palestine.

“We want to live like they live. Why us? Why the children of Palestine?,” the girl says to camera. “The children of Palestine are always buried in the ground. Why?”

“What we are living is complete destruction,” she said. “Our family members are pulled out from under the rubble as body part.”

“We are done. You killed my people. Nothing is left of my people,” she said, adding that if the world wanted to intervene, it would have stopped the war by now.

“Please stop the war. Enough,” she pleads. “Everyone was killed! What’s left? What’s left of my people? No one is left.”

Israeli airstrikes have killed more than 8,805 Palestinians in Gaza since Oct. 7, when Israel declared war on Palestinian militant group Hamas after it launched a surprise attack on Israel and killed 1,400 Israelis.

More than 3,500 of the victims in Gaza – 40 percent – are children.

Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected growing calls and a UN resolution demanding a ceasefire, saying “this is a time for war.”
