A man pretended to be a mannequin to try to steal from a mall in Poland’s capital Warsaw but failed.
Police said the 22-year-old man held a bag and stood motionless besides two mannequins before leaping into action after the mall closed to steal jewelry.
Police said in a separate incident, the man had stayed at a mall after closing time and stole food from the food court.
After eating, the man changed his clothes from those of another store, ate again, and fled under a half opened gate, according to the police statement released on Wednesday Oct. 18.
Police said he faces up to ten years in prison for past robberies, but the court has decided on a three-month temporary detention.
