Saudi soccer fans around the world are celebrating after the Saudi Arabia team defeated Argentina 2-1 in a shock upset during the Group stages at the Qatar World Cup.
One overly zealous fan in particular was caught on video tearing a door from its frame in his exuberance.
The video has gone viral on TikTok with more than 7.1 million views.
The Saudi Arabia team came into the World Cup as one of the lowest ranked teams.
Its odds were 23.49 to 1 against Argentina. It is now leading in its Group with three points after one of the greatest upsets in World Cup history.
Following its win over Argentina and its star Lionel Messi on Tuesday Nov. 22, Saudi Arabia even made the day after a national holiday to celebrate.
“The public holiday will be for all state employees and the private sector, and male and female students in all educational stages,” the government announced on Tuesday evening.
The last three teams to beat Argentina at a World Cup either went on to win the competition or at least reach the finals.
